HALL WELCOMES REP. BROUN, ANNOUNCES NEW COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS
WASHINGTON D.C. - September 26, 2007 – Science and Technology Committee Ranking Member Ralph Hall (R-TX), today announced the addition of Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) to the Committee’s Republican Caucus. In addition, Hall announced several changes to Subcommittee assignments.
“I am very pleased to officially welcome Congressman Broun to the Science and Technology Committee,” said Ranking Member Hall. “I would also like to thank Congressmen Bonner and Lucas for graciously agreeing to take a leave of absence from one of their subcommittee assignments, in order to accommodate our new members.”
Rep. Broun will be taking the seat of Rep. Jo Bonner (R-AL) on the Technology and Innovation Subcommittee, while Rep. Dave Reichert (R-WA), who joined the Committee in March, will be taking the seat of Rep. Frank Lucas (R-OK) on the Research and Science Education Subcommittee. Additionally, both Reps. Reichert and Broun will be joining the Investigations and Oversight Subcommittee.
